Dhami - Jhankri shamanism ancestry and lineage: Sacred source of spiritual inspiration, healing and empowerment

July 10 – July 13, 2025

Ecolieu Chantalame du Jura, Fontainebrux, France

In the Nepali Himalayan Shamanic Tradition, three terms and figures are fundamental and sacred: the Lineage Protecting Spirit (Kul Deo/Devi), the ancestral spirit (Pitri Deo), and the Personal Spirit Guide (Ista Deo/Devi).

Reconnecting with the ancestors, lineage-protecting deities, and unravelling a spiritual guide/s opens a clear path. They have been the most significant source of spiritual awakening and inspiration since the beginning of time. Traditionally, our ancestors honoured the Three Rivers that constitute what we are today: Blood Lineage related to the Patriarch, Milk Lineage related to the Matriarch, and Divine Connection related to What and Who We Were in our previous existences. These 'Three Rivers' symbolise the flow of spiritual energy and wisdom from our ancestors to us.

This transformative retreat is designed to help participants reconnect with their ancestors, learn their healing wisdom, and receive blessings. The participants will learn how to invoke them and practice necessary ceremonies, which will help recover the Ancestors' wisdom and preserve it for future generations.

Gathering guidance from the relevant Spirit/s, participants will have an opportunity to offer a thanksgiving ritual, invoking the spirits of Nature and more. In a state of deepened support, participants will be guided in creating sacred protective tools and empowerment rituals, offering a path to personal growth and empowerment.

Finally, an outdoor group ceremony will be conducted to express gratitude and thanks to the ancestors and relevant spirits with protection and spiritual empowerment. This shared experience will be followed by the Dance of the Circle/Circle of Integration, fostering community and connection among the participants.
