Limbu-Fedangba-Shamans
A Phedangma (Limbo Shaman), nearly like other shamans, is trained to communicate with the spirits of dead persons and other wandering spirits. Before and during rituals, he first seeks the blessings of his guardian deity before he begins to shake vigorously and goes into a trance. He/she can see and speak to the spirits of dead persons, which ordinary people cannot do. They can persuade the spirits not to bother a sick person and be content with their offerings. He can tell them to go back to where the souls of dead persons live instead of wandering around wanting to take some of their relatives to their world. Both the experienced elderly shamans are members of the faculty of the Nepal Study Program.

Sayalung Pilgrimage with Jhankri-Shamans
Sayalung is in a secluded and clean environment, isolated from human settlements though recently, heavy use of cement and sand to construct some structures has changed the divine natural abode. It is one of the most sacred and powerful pilgrimage sites for shamans and laypeople. During the pilgrimage, the Jhankr-shaman group opened the doors to the sacred mountain by offering to the Kali Naga first in her abode of a Water-Fountain, homage to several caves and the Pheasant Stone and more. The final part was Seti Devi/Naag's abode, sometimes called the Mahadeva Sir/head of Shiva Mahadeva. On a beautiful day, it is possible to view some mountains, including Gaurishankar, Dorjilakpa, Gangchempo, Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and Manaslu. To the south, one can see the dense forests and mountain ranges of Chure and Mahabharat. Two of the shamans from this group are inducted into the Teaching Faculty of the Nepal Shamanic Program.

Thami-Magar Jhankri-Shamans
Even words spoken or expressed in the same mother tongue can get complicated amongst family members or between the members of the same community. So obviously, there can be complications between different cultural and traditional groups with diverse backgrounds. Nevertheless, in some spiritual practices, spiritual transmissions and especially about Shamanism, the teacher from whom different students learn can be a significant person who can help to maintain harmony, respect and support each other. In this visual, a Thami Jhankri teacher brings together students of his clan and lineage and from the Magar group as he unites the source of knowledge between them. By using a Kalasha-sacred water vase, the Thami Jhankri blesses the people present. These elders are members of the Faculty of Nepal study group/s.
