Garuda healing rituals extend far beyond Nepali Shamanism, richly woven into the fabric of neighboring cultures through Hinduism, Sanatana Dharma, Buddhism and Bön. In Nepal, the Garuda is prominently displayed in temples, revered as the Vahana (vehicle) of Lord Vishnu. The profound dialogue between Lord Vishnu and Garuda culminated in the creation of the Garuda Purana, widely acknowledged as the 'Sanatani Vaidic Hindu Book of the Dead.'
