Ganyap and Mahadevi - The union of wisdom and devotion
February 20 – February 23, 2025
Homps - Monfort, France
Ganyap (Ganesha) has unparalleled adaptability and assumes various forms and postures. He is also revered as the deity of learning. His wisdom and intellect surpass the capabilities of ordinary humans, and he is often depicted with a book and a pen. His ability to multiply intelligence is a crucial aspect of his character. Ganyap likes unique sweets and food, but on his special day, Ganyap/Ganesha Chaturdashi, we must focus on feeding our brains. All the shamanic and relevant spiritual practices, in one way, are about this.
In the legend of Ganyap (as Lamboodhara), he confronted his father Mahadeva to defend his mother Mahadevi’s honour, thinking he was an intruder, and was decapitated by him. His father, Mahadeva, was remorseful for his mistake and quickly replaced his son’s head with an elephant. Ganyap forgave him, and the loving bond between him and Mahadeva and his mother, Mahadevi (Goddess Gauri), is characterized by deep devotion and affection. Ganyap is widely revered as the wise remover of obstacles and new path opener, and Maha Devi represents strength, devotion, and maternal love.
You will learn the myths of creation and how to physically create Rekhi (cosmic mandalas) to invoke and welcome the Great Mother Goddess, Ganyap, and their manifestations, forms and relevant spirits. Group and individual healing sessions, rituals, and ceremonies address personal and group obstacles and limitations. This will be followed by the Siir Uthaune ceremony (raising the spirits and welcoming back the distracted life essences).
Traditional initiation will be bestowed based on the conventional Nepali shamanic lineages.
