The event of creation

The event of creation and the source of healing

March 14 – March 15, 2026

Freiamt - Freiburg, Germany

Dhanvantari is a radiant figure in Nepali mythology, revered as the God of medicine and a powerful symbol of health and healing. He is believed to have emerged during the enchanting event of the Samudra Manthan, where gods (Devas) and demons (Asuras) collaborated in their quest for the nectar of immortality (amrita).

Typically depicted as a handsome and compassionate figure, Dhanvantari holds a gleaming pot of nectar (Kalasha), a resounding conch shell, and vibrant medicinal herbs. The Pot of Nectar signifies rejuvenation, while the Conch Shell serves as a clarion call to embrace healing and recall cherished moments of well-being.

The herbs underscore his identity as a divine healer, rooted in the abundant remedies of nature. In Ayurveda, Dhanvantari is revered as a guiding figure for practitioners, illuminating health rituals and ceremonies that have been passed down through generations. His veneration reaches its peak during the Dhanteras festival, transforming temples into vibrant community spaces that celebrate collective well-being.

Additionally, Dhanvantari's presence is felt in Nepali shamanism, where his energy is invoked for holistic healing—encompassing physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects. His connection to the Makara, a mythical creature symbolizing water and abundance, highlights the harmony of life and the balance of nature.

Open to all practitioners and aspirants on the healing path, the transmission will focus on the events of creation, the source of healing, creating a sacred space, and a ground mandala, as well as initiation, ceremonies, and group healing sessions.
